Since anymore I only do a couple live shows each year I decided I should do more 'live' sets here in my living room to warm up on software based live mixing. A buddy of mine who is big on this blog suggested I link it here. Teiam Player "Triller": mish mash party mix
I just recently finished a mix I'd been working on for a couple months, when I should've been studying or sleeping. It's 80 minutes, and over 180 tunes I sliced and diced to fit in it. An [almost] anything goes kind of thing, but more emphasis on the dancefloor than headnodding.
To give you just a taste of what it's all about, the following all appear somewhere amongst the other 180+ sampled tunes and 80 minutes of mostly danceable and often laughable fun: M.I.A, Janet, Madonna, M/A/R/R/S, LCD, JT, Busta, Motley Crue, Fatboy, Missy, Junior Senior, Flaming Lips, Electric Six, Annie, NKOTB, 2 Unlimited, Annie Lennox, Rihanna, Spank Rock, Yelle, Radiohead, Santogold, Michael Jackson, Yello, The Knife, Shai, Battles, Massive Attack, more more more more more....

DJ Nate Rusch - Mood Music
This is a mix I've been wanting to put together for some time now, but have continually put off because it meant stepping a bit outside of my comfort zone. It's no secret that my preference lately has been for hard electrohouse and serious club bangers. I've occasionally thrown in some lighter house remixes, but this is the first time I've put together a mix that doesn't end with some crazy electronics. Add to that the fact that I rarely mix with techno music and this is certainly something new.This mix progresses from chill house remixes to some progressive and tech house and ends with some light techno. Udy: 3 Tracks
3 tracks from myself, garnering a little support from DJ Mag's Pick n Mix column plus postings from Boule A Facettes, Get Weird Turn Pro, La New Shit and more. Had taken the two originals down due to a label picking them up but they have been as effective as a paper fire blanket. The Hard-Fi mix did not win the voting comp but came a respectable 2nd, re-posted as it's location has now moved. Enjoy!

DJ Nate Rusch - The April Mix
Hello all,
I really love the idea of this blog, and I thank Darryl for setting it up. Blogs have really helped to spread great dance music, and I'm happy to be able to participate!
Anyway, I've only been mixing for about a year, and I do it on the side just for fun. I focus mostly on electro house and mainstream dance music, though I occasionally throw in some other stuff when it works. I generally put together a monthly mix of my current favorite tunes to be listened to by friends and other who happen to stumble upon my blog. I also put together some longer mixes for some major parties over the summer.
